I believe the window is partially covered by a "Neutral Density" filter or ND for short. As you can see, it brings out the blue in the sky at the same time it removes the harsh glare from the window. ND's allows us to film interior scenes using natural light from windows, while also allowing us to include the window in the shot without "blowing out" the highlights caused by the more intense brightness of natural sunlight.
Hope this helps explain why NDs are indispensable to a professional-looking production.
(By the way, both Victoria and Christina are both amazing performers and a tremendous asset to our team and production. If they get any "brighter" on the set, we'll have to wrap them up with ND filters.)

Hmmm.
Is that a polarizing filter taped to the window? Would you explained why it was used? Thanks.
Yea, why is it like that?
